FAQs

  • When we refer to fillers we’re talking about Hyaluronic acid fillers acid (HA) which is a sugary, gel-like substance our body produces naturally. In the skin, HA is key for maintaining a more hydrated, plump and youthful appearance. HA fillers are created from a synthetic gel-like form of HA meant to mimic our own body’s natural HA and restore volume or rejuvenate skin when injected.

  • The most common types are Hyaluronic acid fillers, calcium hydroxylapatite fillers, poly-L-lactic acid fillers, and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) fillers. Each type serves different purposes, from adding volume and smoothing wrinkles to stimulating collagenproduction for longer-lasting results.

  • This is one of the safest cosmetic treatments available. For years, medical professionals have refined the use of fillers to reduce signs of aging. Today, they safely treat people of all ages and skin types.

  • Most fillers fill the skin, so they produce immediate — or close to immediate — results. A filler also can stimulate your body to produce collagen, but this takes time.

  • Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last anywhere from 6 months to 1 year, depending on injection location, technique, and the individual patient’s metabolism. A consultation is the perfect opportunity for us to determine this together.

  • After receiving filler injections, some patients have minor, temporary side effects where they were injected. You may experience some redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising. These side effects tend to clear within a week, if not sooner.
