Frequency and Pricing

Frequency:

• InShapeMD providers recommend Botox/Dysport every 3-4 months for best results.

Pricing:

• Botox is $12 per unit

• Dysport is $4 per unit.

Before Your Botox or Dysport Appointment:

Schedule at least two weeks before special events to allow any redness, swelling, or bruising to settle and for your results to fully set in.
To reduce bruising, avoid aspirin, NSAIDs, ginkgo biloba, garlic, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, flax oil, cod liver oil, vitamin A/E, or other fatty acids 3–7 days before and after treatment. Check with your doctor before stopping any medications.
Arnica supplements may help minimize bruising if started two days prior.
Do not have an active rash in the treatment area.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding is not permitted without prior medical clearance.

The procedure uses tiny injections of Botox or Dysport just under the skin—so small, they’re about the width of three hairs!
Mild redness or swelling at the injection site is normal and usually fades within an hour. You can gently apply a tinted SPF to cover if desired.
Results begin to appear in 3–5 days and reach full effect around two weeks.

After Your Botox or Dysport Treatment:

Mild redness or sensitivity may occur and typically resolves within a few hours.
Use Tylenol if needed for headaches.
Avoid touching, rubbing, or lying down for 4 hours after treatment; wear a hat if outdoors.
Skip strenuous activity, heavy lifting, or vigorous exercise for 24 hours.
Wait at least two weeks before other facial treatments (facials, massages, lasers, ultrasounds, or microdermabrasion).
Results appear within 3–14 days. If your desired outcome isn’t reached after 14 days, additional injections may be needed; touch-ups are billed based on product used.
