Pan-Seared Filet Mignon with Peppercorn Sauce

Steak...its what for dinner!  Try this simple filet mignon with peppercorn sauce recipe tonight!  Serve with saute spinach or grilled asparagus for a classic dinner.

Ingredients:

3.5 oz (100 grams) filet mignon steak

 Salt and pepper to taste

 Dash garlic powder

2 tsp. mixed peppercorns, gently cracked

 1/3 cup water

 1 tsp. red wine vinegar

 8 drops Clear Stevia

Instructions:

1. Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Season the filet with salt, pepper, and the garlic powder. Place the filet in the hot skillet, press down, and cook until browned, about 3 minutes. Turn the filet over, press down, and cook another 3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

2. Add the peppercorns to the hot skillet and stir for 1 minute. Add the remaining ingredients, reduce the heat to low, return the filet to the pan, cover, and cook to desired pink center, about 5 minutes for medium.

3. Transfer the filet and sauce to a dish and allow to rest 5 minutes before serving.
